Jonas Schreijäg
Award winning journalist and filmmaker
Jonas works as an independent investigative journalist and filmmaker, mainly for German public television.
Jonas was awarded prestigious awards such as Grimme Award and Hanns Joachim Friedrichs Special Award and was nominated for Prix Europa. He was an Arthur Burns Fellow in Los Angeles and was awarded the Arthur F. Burns award. Jonas is based in Madrid, Spain. He likes to film with his Sony A7siii and speaks German (native), Spanish (fluent) and English (fluent).
Jonas was born in 1989 in Hechingen (Baden-Württemberg, Germany). He studied Political Science (B.A.) and Journalism (M.A.) in Freiburg, Madrid and Leipzig. While studying, Jonas worked as a freelance journalist, mainly for regional daily Schwarzwälder Bote. He was a trainee at ARD/NDR, public German television from 2016 to 2018.
